Education through sport is a major pillar of FISU’s mandate, and providing opportunities for leadership, education and development is important alongside the sporting competitions that take place every year. To support this important component of FISU’s work, we are again pleased to announce that applications for the Dream Together Master Scholarship offered by FISU and Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea are now open. Selected students will start their studies in September 2023.
This unique program provides students with the opportunity to develop sports management skills to pursue their career plans in sports. Scholarship applicants must be of a non-Korean nationality and come from a country listed as an Official Development Assistance (ODA)
Bridget UmutoniIn any given year, FISU may submit several applicants for consideration for the Dream Together Master Scholarship. Bridget Umutoni from Uganda received a scholarship and started her studies in the fall of 2021, with the expected completion of her studies by December 2023.
FISU member associations interested in submitting candidates to follow in Umutoni’s footsteps must do so no later than March 17, 2023. Applications should be sent to the FISU Education and Development Department (education@fisu.net) with the reference “DTM Scholarship 2023” in the email address subject line.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher (in any field) and demonstrate a sufficient command of spoken and written English, as classes are taught entirely in English. Potential and passion for sports management are appreciated, with preference for high-performance athletes. Achievements in sport, education and social activities, especially from FISU events, will be highly appreciated, and students with scientific interests related to the university’s sports movement will be preferred (study plan, card 2).
