FROM Cristiano Ronaldo sideways, Al Nassr FC will try to win Saudi Pro League for the 10th time this season.
The Arabia Pro League 2022-23 the season started on August 25, 2022 and will end on May 31, 2023. 16 in total football teams play in the league in a home and away format.
While the league winners qualify for the AFC Champions League, the bottom two teams are relegated to the Saudi First Division League, which is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia.
Al Nassr led the 2022-23 Saudi Pro League table in mid-January ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s club debut on January 22 against Ettifaq FC. Al Nassr’s only loss in the season prior to Ronaldo’s arrival was against Al Taawoun. Al Nassr lost 1-0.
Al Nassr is currently in a close battle with Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Shabab for the top spot in the 2022-23 Saudi Pro League points table.
Al Hilal FC, champions of the 2021-22 season, are the most successful Saudi Pro League club with 18 titles. Meanwhile, Al Nassr has won nine titles, with the most recent win coming in the 2018-19 season.
In addition to playing in the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr will also play in the 2022-23 King’s Cup and the 2023 Saudi Super Cup, both of Saudi Arabia’s domestic cup competitions.
