India Inter School Rope Skipping Championship concluded on 30th September 2018 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium at New Delhi, India. 130 skippers from 8 states participated in the 2 days event. The championship was organized by Indian Rope Skipping Federation in association with Indian Association of Sports For All (I-ASFA). The event was patronized by The Association For International Sports For All (TAFISA) and World Inter School Rope Skipping Organisation (WIRSO).
Mr. Anil B. Mahajan Chairman, Garja Maharashtra New Channel and Ms. Shiba Maggon International Coach Basketball and Mr. Harpal Singh Flora President Indian Rope Skipping Federation handed over prizes to the winners.
Mr. Harpal Singh Flora President Indian Rope Skipping Federation said “This event was planned a long ago but delayed due to various reasons. This is a regular event and will be held every year. The event is in the line of World Inter School Rope Skipping Championship.”
Mr. Anil Sharma Vice President IRSF said that this was the one of the best rope skipping events held in India in the last 18 years. Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium is now our permanent venue for All Indian Inter School Rope Skipping Championship.”
The organizing committee was headed by Mr. Anil Sharma and members Mr. Sandeep Gade, Ms. Varsha Bawa, Mr. Dev Balhara and Technical Team Mr. Tarun Tiwari, Mr. Devesh Mundotiya, Mr. Govind Sharma, Ms. Chandrika, and Ms. Puja.
Team Trophy first place won by Bal Bharti Public School, Ganga Ram, Second place won by Government Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya Yamuna Vihar and third place Evergreen Public School, Vasundhara Phase 3.
India team participating in World Inter School in Hong Kong
Indian school teams participating in 3rd World Inter School Rope Skipping Championship to be held in Hong Kong from 17 to 21 October 2018. Teams from Hong Kong, Belgium, India, Pakistan, South Korea and Iran are participating. The previous two events were held at Dubai 2015 and Hungary 2017.
