From 19p ISF Gymnasiade Normandy 2022 just over a month away, participating delegations will compete in Normandy, France from 14.p – 22n/a May are in the process of selecting the final list of student athletes who will travel to Normandy to compete in 20 different sports.
A total of 3,802 participants from 68 countries on every continent will be part of ISF history, making it the biggest ISF event ever. From these 68 countries, Brazil, India and Uganda are in the process of choosing the final delegation that will take part in this experience.

The rhythmic gymnastics and swimming competitions of ISF member Confederaçao Brasilair Do Desporto Escolar (CBDE) from Brazil started on March 7 and ended last Wednesday, March 30. These two selection events followed the already completed events for rhythmic gymnastics, athletics, judo and table tennis. The next stop in the selection process will be this week from April 6 to 12, when taekwondo and wrestling will hit the scene.

On the other side of the world, ISF member Indian School Games Federation (SGFI) concluded all its selection events last week with Indian students expected to take part in 14 out of 20 sports. Held between 20p and 27p In March, four different locations hosted competitions in archery, rhythmic gymnastics, athletics, 3×3 basketball, beach volleyball, badminton, boxing, fencing, judo, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo and wrestling.

ISF member Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSA) began its selection competition last Thursday with table tennis, working with the Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) in a four-round qualifying series to determine the 8 boys and girls who will compete in Normandy 2022. In addition to table tennis, Uganda will field athletes in athletics, badminton, 3×3 basketball and swimming.
With final preparations completed for the biggest international sporting event for students, Normandy is ready to take the world stage and welcome the world of school sport.
