Brussels, Belgium. (February 3, 2023) – International School Sports Federation (ISF) are proud to announce the launch of a new program ISF Academy a new education center for the International Federation of School Sports, offering short and long-term online or on-site capacity building programs and education for students, teachers, school sports representatives, coaches and officials around the world.
The main pillars of the ISF Academy:
A) Online Capacity Building Program for Heads of Delegation and Trainers prior to each ISF event.
B) On-site seminars and educational workshops for students participating in ISF events on various topics (anti-doping prevention – protection in sport – inspiring stories of Olympic/Paralympic champions, double careers, nutrition, sports clinics with international sports federations, media and Youth communication programs )
C) A short- and medium-term capacity-building program for physical education teachers in partnership with Ministries of Education and Sports and school sports units around the world.
D) International sports and educational events for Physical Education Teachers and students of the sports department.
E) Knowledge transfer and capacity building program for ISF Organizing Committees.
F) ISF Events International Volunteer Program development.
G) PE teachers and school leaders from the pool of program development experts
H) Research, advocacy and policy development related to PE and school sport.
I) Protecting children in the school sports program and diploma.
“This is a new era of educational activities for ISF, the foundation of a better future where sport and education provide all students with the opportunity to become active citizens and support healthier communities. We are proud to announce the start of the first edition, an online session dedicated to the ISF Delegation Heads and Trainers who will take part in the ISF Winter Gymnasiade 2023 in Türkiye,’ said Laurent Petrynka, ISF President.
This activity will take place online on the ISF Academy online platform, which will be used to host all future online learning and capacity building activities in various fields: https://isfacademy.getlearnworlds.com/
This online seminar will take place before every ISF event this year, which we start with the winter ISF Gymnasiade in Erzurum-Türkiye.
February 3 and 4 at 14.00 CET will be the first course, an 8-hour (spread over 2 days) training program on the role of Heads of Delegation and Coaches’ responsibilities during ISF events, presentation of functional areas of the event and general organization.
The aim is to support the stakeholders of our delegation in preparing their mission and representing their country at ISF events
Moreover, the program will include training in the field of child protection in sport, diplomacy in sport and anti-doping prevention.
