The 28th TAFISA World Congress 2023 will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on November 1-5, 2023. The organizers are doing their best to make the Congress a success, and preparations are in full swing.
To assess the venues and facilities of the Congress and meet with local authorities and stakeholders, TAFISA Board Members and employees visited the host city on March 22-24. The TAFISA Board meeting held during this visit gave Board members the opportunity to assess the state of preparation and provide feedback on issues requiring attention. The boards were happy to report that preparations were going well and were confident that the Congress would be a success.
On the second day of the visit to Hallenbad Rheinbad in Düsseldorf, a press conference was held. The press conference was attended by Wolfgang Buamann, President of TAFISA, Michaela Röhrbein, DOSB and Martin Wonik, LSB NRW.
“As a German and as president of TAFISA, I am delighted to welcome the world to Düsseldorf for the TAFISA World Congress 2023. The Congress is taking place at a crucial time when the world is facing a growing epidemic of physical inactivity and the need to collaborate and share knowledge has never been so great. The theme “Sport for All: More Together Than Ever” highlights the importance of working together to promote physical activity and sport for all, and the Congress will provide leading experts and professionals with a platform to explore innovative approaches and strategies. Congress is a place for practitioners and activists who use sport for everyone in their community to create a better world. We look forward to welcoming delegates from around the world to Düsseldorf to participate in this important conversation and help shape the future of physical activity and sport for all.” said Wolfgang Baumann.
With everything in its place, the Congress is to be an unforgettable event for all participants. Participants can expect a rich schedule of activities, including keynote speeches, presentations and workshops, all of which focus on a topic“Sport for All: More Together Than Ever”.
