He is representing Punjab, India in UNESCO TSG and holding the position of Rapporteur and Secretary General UNESCO Traditional Sports and Games. The award distributed by Sr. Navjot Singh Sidhu Minister of Punjab Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums, Government of Punjab on 26th January 2019 at Guru Nanak Stadium Amritsar, Punjab India.
He was born in the holy city of Punjab, Amritsar on 24th November 1978. He owns Krish Incorporation an import-export company and director of Vansh Incorporation a trading company. For two decades in sports as an athlete, and coach he proved his capabilities and learned sports administration. Presently serving as a Secretary-General Asian Belt Wrestling Federation and also the Rapporteur of UNESCO Traditional Sports and Games since July 2017.
Shammi Rana also nominated for The Masters Hall of Fame™ 2019. The Masters Hall of Fame™ is a Black Tie Event going to held at Hilton Costa Mesa Hotel, California, the USA on July 27, 2019.
His service and dedication to martial are world and traditional sports and games made him a strong contender for the Masters Hall of Fame. His dedication, communication, and marketing skills earned a worldwide reputation. Presently he is handling worldwide promotion of traditional sports and games from the UNESCO TSG platform.
