sportanddev has launched a public call for proposals for organizations that can apply to host the International Platform for Sport and Development (sportanddev).
In the call, sportanddev mentions:
“Given the global nature of its work and the need to better reflect the global diversity of the sports and development community and address existing inequities in the sector, as well as the expensive structure of its legal headquarters in Switzerland, sportanddev is for the first time launching an open and public call for proposals for organizations at platform hosting. This was commissioned by the sportanddev Steering Board and discussed with the current host, SA4D, who is not excluded from the call for proposals. Among other requirements, organizations applying to host sportanddevs must demonstrate considerable relevant experience and expertise, as well as the ability to perform legal, administrative and organizational functions on behalf of sportanddevs. Benefits for the host organization include access to sportanddev’s extensive global network, learning and networking opportunities, and impact on sportanddev’s strategic direction and the broader field of sport and development.
We launched this open and public call for proposals, given the global nature of our work and the need to better reflect the diversity of the sports and development community – key feedback we received from various stakeholders – as well as the high cost of registering in Switzerland. The sportanddev Steering Board is leading this process. Applicant organizations have to meet different requirements and sportanddev hosting has many advantages.
