The FISU team concludes its inspection visit to Jinjiang

FISU completed its inspection visit to Jinjiang (CHN), the host city of the 2023 FISU World University Football Championship. The FISU team visited 11 venues (8 competition venues, 3 training venues and 3 hotels), collected materials on the city’s culture and made a number of recommendations that speed up the preparations and ensure the success of the event.

“There are still a few things that can be improved and FISU will provide support and assistance to make sure everything is ready for the event,” said Alejandro Guerra Urbistondo, FISU Championships and World Cup Sports Manager.

“We will make adjustments as recommended by the inspection team. We can use the experience of the previous games to make progress, we still have plenty of time to organize the football feast,” said Wu Zunyi, vice mayor of the Jinjiang municipal government.

Twelve men’s and eight women’s teams from five continents will participate in the 2023 FISU World University Championships on October 21-31, 2023.
