The International School Sports Federation (ISF) is proud to partner with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on a new initiative to inspire and enable the world to move, as the International Federation leading the promotion of school sport around the world.

While the world is moving faster than ever, research has shown that many young people are unable to reach the levels of exercise recommended for optimal health (80% of young people are unable to reach the recommended minimum activity levels needed for optimal health – WHO 2022).

Starting this Olympic day on June 23, we jointly invite young people to find time to move, with the ambition to inspire a habit every day, wherever.

Inspired by the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, schools across France have already introduced 30-minute daily sports activities in their classrooms. We invite all youth from school sports federations, our members, networks to join this movement.

How it’s working? here are some ideas:

Organize an Olympic-themed sports day.

Encourage students to go to school on June 23.

Take part in a traditional Olympic run.

Share the benefits of physical activity.

Invite students to join Olympian-led workouts on Olympic social media channels.

Share your moves on social media and be inspired. Don’t forget to include major hashtags #Letsmove#Olympicday#ISF and mark @Olympics.

The toolkit and communications will be made available so stay tuned and follow the IOC and ISF channels for all updates.

Let’s move together!
