In June, the School and University Sports Office of Ivory Coast (OISSU) began organizing the main phase of the 2021 sports calendar, the zone finals, which began on June 5. These competitions are held in 8 regional capitals around the Ivory Coast, OISSU Sports Development Zone, including Abidjan, Abengourou, Daloa, Soubré, Man, Toumodi, Korhogo and Yamoussoukro.
By the end of the zonal finals, a total of 4,088 players, including 3,064 boys and 1,024 girls, will play 131 finals in football, handball, basketball, volleyball and rugby. The zonal finals are held after the inter-ministerial games, which took place on May 15-19, 2021 in 31 voivodship capitals, and after the interregional phases, which were played on May 22-29, 2021 in 16 towns.
