FISU will hold its 38^th General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland 17-18 November. 163 member associations from around the world are invited to participate in the two-day meeting taking place at the Hilton Geneva Hotel and Conference Centre.

Final reports will be delivered by the organising committees of both the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games Winter and the Chengdu FISU World University Games Summer, the first FISU Games to be held since 2019. Lake Placid welcomed 2,150 athletes and coaches in 12 sports from 12 – 22 January. This was followed up by the Chengdu FISU Games that took place in China’s Sichuan Province 28 July to 8 August. The 18 sports held there saw over 6,500 athletes from 113 countries take part.

In addition to the FISU Games final reports, day one will also see presentations from FISU Acting President Leonz Eder, Secretary General and CEO Eric Saintrond, as well as from all nine of FISU’s departments.

On day two, the General Assembly will welcome updates from the Torino 2025 FISU Games Winter, and the next two FISU Games Summer – Rhine-Ruhr 2025 and Chungcheong 2027. These will provide information on current stages of planning for each event, the first of which, in Torino, has its opening ceremony 13 January 2025.

Following the future FISU Games presentations will be the election of FISU’s Executive Committee for the 2023-2027 period. Elections will include those for President, First Vice-President, Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, Senior Executive Committee members, and Executive Committee members. This will be followed by the Executive Committee Confirmation Ceremony.
