The FIH 2023 Men’s Hockey World Championship15th edition of the four-year period hockey demonstration, is underway in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India.

Two venues – Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and the newly built Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela – will host 44 matches of the 2023 World Cup of Hockey.

Argentina vs. South Africa in the group The ball was rolling at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, with Argentine Maico Casella Schuth scoring the first and only goal of the 2023 Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship match in the 43rd minute.

In the second game of the 2023 Ice Hockey World Cup, Australia beat France 8-0. Australian striker Jeremy Hayward scored his first hat-trick of the tournament. Soon after, in the same match, Australia’s Thomas William Craig completed a hattrick.

At the previous 2018 Hockey World Cup, also held in India, a total of 36 matches were played and 157 goals were scored. Australia’s Blake Govers and Belgium’s Alexander Hendrickx scored the most goals during the tournament with seven goals each.
