IOC President Thomas Bach; Moon Jae-in, The President of the Republic of Korea; Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; leaders  Kim Jong Un and Kim Yong Nam; the titular head of state of PRK witnessed the game.  As the women’s Ice Hockey was being played under the unified flag of Korea, first time ever in a decade, the first meeting of the both Korean leaders was convened between Moon Jae-in and the PRK delegation at Pyongyang.

Leaving no stone unturned, the DPRK kept up the festivities all along with singing and dancing.  Electrifying the stadium further, the fans and cheerleaders in contrasting red tracksuits on the snow waved unification flags, banners and scarves.  Unlike the usual passive audience, what Women’s Ice Hockey witnessed was active and alive audience especially when the Korean team posed threat to the opponents.

The Korean team players, Kim Un Hyang, Jong Su Hyon and Hwang Chung Gum lead the team.  Han Soo-Jin took the forward position and flicked an appreciable shot against the crossbar.
