The 2022 Skateboarding World Championships will be held at the Aljada Skate Park in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, February 1-12, 2023.
The championship consists of two parts: the World Street Skateboarding Championships (February 1-5) and the World Park Skateboarding Championships (February 8-12).
The World Skateboarding Championships is a qualifying event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Competitors can earn valuable ranking points to qualify for the Summer Games.
Some of the best skateboarders in the world, including Tokyo 2020 Olympic medalists Horigome Yuto, Rayssa Leal, Nishiya Momiji and Jagger Eaton will be competing in Sharjah, alongside eight Indian skateboarders – five men and three women.

Women: Shradda Gaikwad, Shruti Bholse, Urmila Pable
Among the Indians, the youngest are Shivam Balhara and Satyam Hangargekar. Both are only 15 years old. Shivam Balhara, skater from Delhi, silver medalist of Khelo India Youth Games 2021, will represent India in both Park and Street championships.
Shubham Surana, 23, is the most experienced of the eight-man contingent.
Where to watch the World Skateboarding Championship live in India
The World Skateboarding Championships will be streamed live on Olympics.com in India. However, only the semi-finals and finals of the street and park championships will be shown.
No TV channels in India will broadcast the World Skateboarding Championships live.
